Hello, my name is Sophia and welcome to my first Genius Hour blog post. I am a Grade 8 student and live in Alberta. I like animals and have two cats named Sprocket and Mr. Crank. In my spare time I like to read or cook. My favourite type of books are fantasy or science fiction, and I like cooking anything.

For my Genius Hour, I am going to try to crochet an octopus. I’ve never tried crocheting before, but I know how to knit simpler designs, which might be helpful when I am learning to crochet. Thanks for reading!
